Our “FESTIVAL of SONG” is on Friday 3rd June, 2022
Due to the current PANDEMIC PROBLEMS we have not had enough entries to run the usual SCHOOL CHOIR section.
We have had 8 schools and 12 choirs enter, so in order to affirm the diligence of those schools, and to offer the children a performance experience, we are having a NON-COMPETITIVE “FESTIVAL of SONG.” All choirs will receive a comment from our Adjudicator, where all choirs will be acknowledged and affirmed for their efforts, (even though there is no competition!). All schools will receive a small trophy to take back to school, and all children will receive a ribbon.
*Patrons are asked to be at the MEC and buy their tickets from 9:00, to save that huge line-up of other years. The Festival must begin by 10:00.
*Eftpos facilities will be available; cash payers are asked to use correct change where possible: $9 and $7 (Concession and non-performing children).
There will not be enough space to have all children in the theatre all the time, so there will be two groups, one in the Green Rooms watching on monitors, and one in the theatre, to swap over at half time.
For Your Information, and to help you organize your own programmes, the schools will perform as follows:
*1st Half:(begin in Green Room)
Taree West Public School, MVAC, Cundletown Public School, Tinonee Public School.
*2nd Half:(begin in Theatre)
St Joseph’s Laurieton; Wingham Public School Infants; St Joseph’s Primary,Taree Infants; Wingham Brush Infants; Wingham Public, primary; St Joseph’s Taree, Primary
Looking forward to seeing you at our “Festival of Song.”
